We are happy to announce that we are now able to offer medical internships abroad for medical students or health care students.
With a medical internship abroad you kill quite a few birds with one stone:
You tick a duty and get a little closer to your career. You think outside the box and get to know a different reality of life - that not only makes you grow as a person, but also looks great on your résumé. You will learn a new language in everyday life and get to know the health sector of a emerging country. (Note, basic knowledge of Spanish is a prerequisite, you are welcome to boost your skills in one of our Spanish school in Quito).
You will learn about a new culture, make culinary experiences, meet nice people, see breathtaking places and you will have lots of fun "on top".
Get interested? Then register for your medical internship in Ecuador. We'll place you in one of the three major public hospitals in Ecuador's capital.
All those who cannot afford private health care in Quito are treated there.
In contrast to many other public health facilities in Ecuador, these hospitals are technically well equipped, offer almost all areas and also have laboratories, pathology and rehabilitation facilities. Many Ecuadorian students do their internships there - you can make contacts there right away. Speaking of contacts: If you like, you can live with a local family during your medical internship and get first-hand insight into Ecuadorian way of life.
We are sure you will also have a lot of fun while doing your internship abroad. Work takes place in the mornings. In the afternoon you can polish your Spanish skills in one of our courses. Our language school in Quito also offers a great leisure program. But even without a language course there is a lot to discover: After all, not everyone lives in a UNESCO World Heritage Site under volcanoes at the foot of the Andes and right on the equator line. Discover the Inca and Pre-Inca cultures, experience Quito's nightlife, roam the pretty markets or go on adventurous outdoor activities in the mountains.
