Our Spanish school in Quito offers one of the most attractive Spanish programs in Ecuador, a perfect combination of first-class Spanish lessons and a balanced leisure program. The Spanish school is recognized by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education and looks back on 25 years of experience.
The Spanish school is centrally located very close to cozy cafés, restaurants and souvenir shops, markets and travel agencies. The school building is only 3 blocks from the center of the La Mariscal district, where the famous Plaza Foch is located, inviting you to stroll and linger.
The 3-storey building has modern classrooms as well as common rooms, 2 kitchens, a small cafeteria and a cozy patio that invites you to spend the breaks with classmates. There is also a small library and a computer room available to students. Despite its very central location, the school is on a quiet street with good transportation options.
Are offered regularly (e.g. city tours, cooking classes, dancing classes, excursions, sports, grammar workshops, conversation exercises, etc.). The can be subject to changes and some may require an additional payment on site.
WIFI is available at school and can be used free of charge by the students.
Quito is the capital of Ecuador and is only about 20 kilometers south of the equator, that’s where the name of the country comes from. Quito is located at 2,850 meters above sea level in the Andean highlands, making it the second highest capital in the world after La Paz (Bolivian seat of government). The position between different Andean peaks provides an impressive mountain panorama, especially from the teleferico that leads up the Pichincha mountain up to 4,100 meters. From there, you have a breathtaking view of the whole city and the surrounding mountains.
Quito is home to almost 3 million people and has heaps of valuable cultural heritages. Built on the ruins of an Inca city, buildings and monuments like monasteries and churches from the colonial era predominate Quito. The old town of Quito has the best preserved and least changed historical center of Latin America and was therefore declared the first city ever to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978.
Quito and the surrounding area represent Ecuador´s diversity: Impressive mountain backdrops, perfectly shaped volcanoes, lively parks, ancient monuments, historic buildings and last but not least, a lot of people who have remained true to their old traditions and typical costumes. But Quito also has the face of a modern city with trendy bars and clubs, first-class restaurants and a lively student life.
Quito is an ideal place to learn Spanish and get to know the indigenous cultures of Ecuador.
The focus of our Spanish courses in Quito is conversation training and the correct use of grammar. The learning method covers the four language components (listening, speaking, writing and reading). All parts are intensively practiced via role-playing, music, short films, current newspaper articles, etc. The creativity of the teachers has no limits when it comes to making lessons diverse and exciting. In addition to the Spanish course, cultural workshops are offered, because learning a foreign language also means understanding the history and culture of the host country. And in terms of culture, Ecuador really has a lot to offer!
On the first day of school, a placement test will be taken to determine your language skills. There are different levels available from beginner to advanced.
Native Spanish speakers
At the end of the course, a certificate will be issued to confirm your language level.
