The project site is a family-run agency in the south of the island of Chiloé. The agency was founded in 2014 and consists of an aparthotel and a small travel agency for trips around the island. It is located in the center of the small town of Castro, known for its beautiful location and picturesque stilt houses.
It is centrally located in the city center of Santiago de Chile in an imposing, well-preserved colonial building with a spacious roof top terrace where guest can relax and enjoy the great view. The hostel is located in Barrio Brasil, which is popular with young people, just a few blocks from the subway.
The volunteer work takes place in a small rural school, idyllically situated in Curacaví halfway from Santiago towards the Pacific coast.
Seeing giant sea turtles up close is an incredible goosebumps experience. It is incredibly impressive to see these mysterious creatures live and to contribute to their protection.
