Tasks
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to spend your time meaningfully while gaining valuable work experience abroad? Become part of the dynamic team at the hostel! A varied range of tasks awaits you during your approximately 5-hour daily work schedule.
Depending on the hostel's current needs and your skills, you will work at the reception, assist with breakfast service, and ensure that the common areas are always clean and inviting. In the laundry and housekeeping department, you will support the team in cleaning and maintaining the premises and ensuring that guests feel completely at home.
Working hours will be divided into morning, midday, and evening shifts. You will also have one free day per week to recharge your batteries or explore the surrounding area.
If you enjoy being in direct contact with international guests and want to be part of a friendly team, don't miss the chance for this amazing experience.
Accommodation
The hostel's staff area offers shared rooms with shared bathrooms for the volunteers. Gender segregation is only possible if occupancy allows.
Internet access is available throughout the hostel and may be used outside of working hours.
The hostel offers volunteers a free breakfast and laundry facilities. Volunteers also receive a discount on surfing lessons offered by the hostel.
Location
Pichilemu, a small town on the Chilean coast, has become a real insider tip. With a population of around 14,000, it's a true summer mecca for holidaymakers from home and abroad who want to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking natural surroundings. The beaches are stunning, and the waves are perfect for surfers—no wonder Pichilemu is considered the ultimate surfing hotspot.
The coast not only offers excellent conditions for water sports enthusiasts, but also an impressive backdrop with views of the vast ocean and the surrounding landscapes. Punta de Lobos, where this working holiday program is located, just about 6 kilometers south of Pichilemu, is a popular spot among surfers and attracts many sports enthusiasts every year. Here, you can ride the waves or simply relax on the beach and enjoy the spectacular sunsets.
But Pichilemu has much more to offer than just beaches and waves. Handicrafts flourish here, and the small shops are full of unique handmade souvenirs to take home as mementos. In the evening, the town transforms into a lively hub with a diverse nightlife. Bars and restaurants invite you to sample local specialties and experience Chilean hospitality.
The recreational opportunities are diverse: whether you enjoy hiking, cycling, or simply chilling on the beach – there's something for everyone. The combination of nature, sports, and culture makes Pichilemu a perfect destination. Whether you're a surfer or just looking to watch, everyone will find their place here.
