Spanish Course in Pucon

My husband and I spent a week in Pucon in January, 2026, taking language classes through Chile Inside's language school, and staying in a homestay with a local family. Our experience was phenomenal. For three hours every morning, we each had our own private teacher, Gabriela and Karin, who worked diligently to meet our specific interests, language levels and learning styles. They were both highly professional, proficient and kind. Not only did we learn a lot of Spanish, but we learned a lot about Chilean history and culture.
Having experienced homestays before, we knew that it was a bit of an unknown. We could not have expected , though, such an A+ experience as we received with Nallerly and Jose's family, who lived just blocks from the school. They were incredibly generous and kind in all interactions. We had wonderful home-cooked Chilean meals each day, which Nallerly took the time to explain and then share the recipes, after which we often had long wide-ranging conversations, which gave us a wonderful opportunity to practice our Spanish. Their three young adult children, too, were a delight to get to know, and they often helped (with google translate) when either side was stumped linguistically. Their home was comfortable and had everything we needed, as well. A highlight of the week was spending the afternoon at their farm, about an hour from Pucon. We toured the farm, helped with a construction project, and picked buckets of raspberries. We could not have had a better homestay experience and we recommend them highly!
