Project details
Be it backpackers or exclusive travel groups, more and more tourists come to Chile to discover this unique country. The tourism industry has been booming for years, offering the best conditions for our Working Holiday programs in the hotel business all year round. Our program sites include hip backpacker hostels, fancy boutique hostels and small family hotels.
Our partners for Working Holiday in a hostel are spread throughout the country, from the desert in the north to the deepest Patagonia in the south. They are located in very attractive and well-developed areas with good touristic infrastructure, such as San Pedro de Atacama, La Serena/Valle del Elqui, the Pacific coast, Pucón and Puerto Varas, the island of Chiloé and Patagonia. There are also many positions available in appealing cities such as Santiago de Chile, Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Arica, Iquique and Punta Arenas.
Detailed information regarding your program placement will be sent to you after the placement process has been completed. So, before your adventure starts, you will know exactly where you will work and live.

The nice thing about Working Holiday in a hostel is: You do not only live in a tourist hotspot with all its amazing attractions, but you also get to know both your local colleagues as well as Chilean and international guests. Hardly a day will pass without an interesting conversation full of suggestions for your own tours through Chile.
In addition, our participants in hostels learn the hospitality business from scratch. Everyone, whether employee, working holiday participant or family member, must help out wherever needed. Of course, still everyone has their special area of responsibility.
Depending on the program place, possible tasks:
- Working at the reception
- Check-in / check-out
- Reservations
- Assistance in administration and marketing
- Working in the restaurant/kitchen

Location
Chile is one of the most diverse travel destinations in the world. You find most of the world's climate zones and landscapes in just this one country - there is something for everyone! Chile offers an amazing range of landscapes from desert to ice, from beach to pampas, from pristine rain forests to high mountains, that extends over 4,300 kilometers north-south (without Antarctica) between the Andes and the Pacific - including volcanoes, geysers and hot springs.
Many travelers, especially the younger ones, have to save money for a good while in order to make their dream of a journey through the magical landscapes of Chile come true. So, doing a Working Holiday at a Chilean tourism company is a really good idea: You save a fair bit of your travel budget, and live right on the spot.
Our Work & Travel partners are located in the most beautiful places in Chile. You live and work where others go on vacation and get all the important connections to know the best travel tips for your own adventures after your program has finished.
Depending on your interest, you can choose your location in Chile. Do you prefer warm or cooler weather, an exciting city or breathtaking nature, are you into action or rather relaxation? It’s your choice! In some places, you can even have a combination of all of it!
