Spanish school
Our language school in Asuncion is one of the most renowned schools in Paraguay. The teaching staff consists of highly qualified and motivated professionals. They are all native Spanish speakers and have many years of experience teaching Spanish and Guaraní as a foreign language. Guaraní is the language of the indigenous people and, alongside Spanish, the official language of Paraguay. Thanks to the friendly atmosphere and personalized support, the students make rapid progress and gain an insight into the Paraguayan culture and history.
The Spanish school is located on a quiet street in the center of Asuncion. It is easy to reach by public transport and the sights of the city are not far away. The language school is in a beautiful large building, which also has a garden. Five classrooms with air conditioning are available for lessons. There is also a lounge, a kitchen, and a cafeteria.

The language school in Asunción offers leisure activities from time to time - depending on the number and interest of the students.

WiFi is available at the school and can be used free of charge by the students.
School location
Asuncion is the capital of Paraguay and also the largest city in the country. The city itself has "only" about 500,000 inhabitants, but the entire metropolitan area is home for just under 2 million inhabitants. Asuncion was founded in the middle of the 16th century, making it one of the oldest urban settlements in South America and the longest one that is continuously populated. Therefore, it earned the nickname "Mother of the Cities". Many colonial expeditions to other parts of South America started from here.
The Rio Paraguay flows around the city, which makes the cityscape very attractive. You can stroll along the river and there is even a beach on the riverbank near the city center!
The city center is characterized by magnificent colonial buildings and beautiful churches, while the eastern part of the city has been the amusement and business zone for over 100 years now! The newer and more modern shops are located outside the city. Huge shopping centers have been built here in recent years.
Asuncion's nightlife is concentrated in the city center. Night owls will find countless bars, restaurants, nightclubs, discos and other entertainment options there.
Spanish classes
Focus lies on correct use of grammar and on deepening its understanding through practical exercises. Everyday situations are recreated, to train sentences, their structure and vocabulary. In addition, listening comprehension and speaking are taught throughout the lessons. All courses also cover cultural aspects and topics related to Paraguay's history.
Spanish levels
6 levels according to CEFR, Common European Framework of References (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). On your first dayof class, or online beforehand, you will do a placement test in order to determine your current language skills. You will then be assigned to a suitable group.

Therefore, we place our Spanish students in Paraguay in carefully selected homestays. This is the best way to experience Paraguayan lifestyle, customs and cuisine up close.
It is a great chance to apply your newly acquired Spanish skills and put the theory your learned in the morning into practice straight away. You will be accommodated in a single room and, depending on the booking, breakfast or full board is included.
Note: No kitchen use in the homestays.
