Learning Spanish in Valparaíso!

Valparaíso is about one and a half hours away from the capital Santiago de Chile and has approximately 900.000 inhabitants. The city is very popular because of its idyllic port, its outstanding architecture and the beautiful beaches nearby. Valparaíso – also known as Chile’s cultural capital – is said to be the most fascinating urban area of Latin America. The historic Old Town of Valparaíso was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 2003.
A visit to La Sebastiana, one of the three houses of the Chilean
Nobel Prize Winner Pablo Neruda, is a cultural
must while staying in Valparaíso!
SPANISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL
Our partner school was established in 1987 in the Chilean town of Puerto Natales. It is now located very close to the harbor in Valparaíso. All the teachers are native speakers and have a university degree. Due to the high quality of the classes, you will notice very quickly that your Spanish language skills are improving.

SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSES
You have the choice between group courses (20 classes
per week), intensive courses (30 classes per week) and individual classes.
The group and intensive courses have a maximum of five students per class
and one class lasts 45 minutes. If you prefer to study Spanish on your
own and take individual classes, you can arrange your schedule flexibly
together with your teacher. All courses take place from Monday to Friday
and can be started on any Monday. There are three different course levels.
Besides the above-mentioned courses you will also have the possibility
to practice your Spanish language skills during the free tutorial lessons
in the afternoons.

ACCOMMODATION
Become a member of a typical Chilean family! When staying with one of the carefully chosen host families, you will be included in their daily activities and will also have a fantastic opportunity to practice your Spanish language skills.
You may also choose to live in a shared apartment
where you will get to know other international students and make new friends!
Bathroom and living room are usually shared with your flat mates. All
accommodations can be easily reached from the language school, by foot
or by public transport.

OTHER SERVICES
The closest airport to Valparaíso is Santiago de Chile. When arriving in Santiago you will have two possibilities to get to your final destination. You may choose to stay a couple of nights in Santiago before continuing your trip to Valparaíso or you may take the bus to Valparaíso right away (approximately one hour and a half).
If you stay in Santiago or go to Valparaíso, we will be happy to
organize an airport transfer for you, either to your
hotel in Santiago or to the bus terminal. Please provide us with your
detailed flight information (arrival day, arrival time and flight number).
The transfer costs US$ 25.
Buses to Valparaíso leave several times an hour and you can buy
your ticket at the bus terminal. If you decide
to stay in Santiago, we will be very happy to get
to know you personally and to help you buy your bus
ticket. Our office is very centrally located and
can easily be reached by public transport.
