The Spanish school is located right in the center of Córdoba, making it very easy for you to enjoy the beautiful city. The highly qualified and friendly staff with many years of teaching experience gives the school a special atmosphere. Individual attention to each student and friendliness are the top priorities in the language school in Córdoba. They want every student to feel as comfortable as possible during their stay and leave the school feeling satisfied with their Spanish studies, housing, cultural activities and overall care. The high academic standards at the school in Córdoba assure a top level of teaching. The school continuously trains its teachers in order to meet the challenging and different expectations of each student.
The school is accommodated in a two-story building and has 9 classrooms. Students especially enjoy the spacious roof terrace during breaks or after school where they can relax and chat with classmates. Students have access to the library, kitchen, and audio-visual systems used in each classroom during Spanish lessons during listening comprehension.
Course
The language school in Córdoba is well known for its high-quality Spanish courses. All courses are designed for students to progress their conversational skills in Spanish. Once the session has been completed and students are able to effectively communicate at that level, they will pass to the next course level to further advance with their Spanish. The courses are graded according to the common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).
The Spanish lessons of each course are divided into three sections. The grammar section trains students to correctly build sentences in Spanish enabling students to communicate properly. This section is intensively applied, reviewed, and practiced. The conversation section involves reading and discussing texts of different topics of interest while focusing on linguistic aspects like fluency and phonetics. The last cultural part gives the students insight on local cultures while training the Spanish language. Students work with short stories, videos, newspaper articles and tapes to fully immerse in the culture and put the courses into a real-life context.
Every teacher is a native Spanish speaker, has a university degree and is experienced in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Most of the staff members are graduates from the School of Languages at the National University of Cordoba, one of the most prestigious schools in Argentina with regards to language instruction.
At the end of each course you will receive a completion certificate listing the number of hours of study undertaken and the level achieved (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
You can book group courses or private course. Each academic class lasts 60 minutes and all courses start on Monday.
Standard group course: Consists of 20 hours per week and has maximum 6 students per class.
Intensive course: The intensive course is composed by the standard group course and 5 additional private classes per week. Private classes are held in the afternoon and help to deepen understanding of topics of interest or review language weaknesses.
Private course: You can book 10, 15 or 20 private classes per week. The time table can be organized flexibly and classes are customized to your needs.
Non-academic activities: Learning Spanish in a native speaking country is a great experience, but it is also important to participate in outdoor activities in your free time. The language school offers a wide variety of extra activities for you to participate in, for example, trekking, sailing and horseback riding. Cultural activities such as dancing, cooking and theater visits are also organized. Once you arrive at the school, you will receive detailed information about the calendar of events.
Accommodation
In Córdoba we allow you to choose between two different types of accommodation.
If you prefer to experience the Argentinean way of living, you will be better off with one of our carefully chosen host families. You will have your own bedroom and receive half-board or only breakfast depending on your preferences. Home stays are ideal if you want to feel at home while practicing Spanish.
However, if you want to meet and spend most of your time with local students or young local professionals, a shared apartment will be your best choice. You will get your own private bedroom and access to a shared kitchen and bathroom. The apartments are fully equipped and usually located close to the Spanish school (not more than 20 minutes walking).
Shared apartments are ideal for students wanting to enjoy everyday life while practicing the new language and being in good company. The shared apartments do not include catering but you have full access to the kitchen to stow and prepare your food.
Regardless of whether you choose to live in a shared apartment or with a host family, you will have plenty of opportunities to speak Spanish and live new experiences.

Location
The city of Córdoba is situated about 700 km northwest of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires and has 1.3 million inhabitants. Located in the transition zone between the Sierras de Córdoba in the west of the country and the Pampa in the east, it is one of the most productive agricultural areas in Argentina as well as the second largest industrial center in the country. Cordoba is one of the oldest settlements in the south of the American continent and is known as “La Docta” (The Learned City), because it was the first city in the country to have its own university. The settlement of Jesuits in the Cordobian capital left an extensive architectural, cultural and religious heritage. This colonial splendor can be enjoyed in the museums, churches and public buildings in the downtown area.
The city offers a lot of cultural activities and if you are a fan of history, you will be amazed by all the colonial style buildings. In 2000, the Jesuit buildings from the colonial era were declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
Along with the historical city, there is a modern and lively side of Cordoba with shopping and commercial centers, and an abundance of cultural and recreational activities. Nightlife has a special flavor, with a large number of bars, pubs and discos, for all ages and tastes. Today, there are five universities and about 150,000 students, making it an ideal place to study Spanish in Argentina.
After Buenos Aires, Córdoba is the most popular city in Argentina for foreigners. Many come for a semester as part of a university exchange and others to participate in a Spanish language course or internship.

Argentina, the second largest country in South America and eighth largest in the world has much to offer the passerby and long-term tourist alike. Argentina’s continental area extends west along the Andes mountain range, east along the Atlantic Ocean and neighbors the countries of Paraguay and Bolivia to the North, Brazil and Uruguay to the Northeast and Chile to the West. The total Argentinean coast is about 2,400 miles long from north to south and 870 miles from east to west. The country is home to over 40 million people, with the capital of Buenos Aires and greater surrounding district entailing 13 million inhabitants. These numbers enlist Buenos Aires as one of the largest cities in the world.
One can find a huge variety of climates and landscapes from the north sub-tropical regions to the south sub-polar conditions. Further, the Andes Mountains stoically border two climatic regions of humid Argentina and aired Chile. Argentina offers such diverse landscapes at such an immense size, that any South American tourist could find happy haven in its territory. From the infamous Patagonia region, northern highlands, rainforests complete with the Iguazu Waterfalls, there are limitless adventures to explore! In addition to landscape and weather variety, Argentina is also a country full of abundant natural resources, diversified agricultural sector and laden with cultural hot spots. The most well known hot spot is Buenos Aires located in the mid-eastern part of Argentina. Moreover, the country has a rich history of excellent literature, film production, famous theaters and musical fame (¡especially in rock and tango!). For those cultural, site-seeing, city buffs, we highly recommended the Argentinean spring (September-November) and fall (March-May). The summer months (December- February) hold hot and humid weather good for lazy days by the pool or temperate sleeping nights in the mountains. Attention back-country adventurers, summer is surely the best time to discover a mild and accessible Patagonia. Finally, for the skiers, snow begins to fill back into the mountains and resorts open again around mid-June to October. We are sure you will find the Argentinean people warm, friendly and pleased to welcome and introduce you to their beautiful country!
