Internship
We provide professional internships in almost all business areas and industry sectors in Mexico City. Internship placements are done in different kinds of companies, enterprises, institutions and organizations. Mostly, we collaborate with local companies, but we also place our participants in branch offices or subsidiaries of international firms. All companies are located in the capital Mexico City and can be easily reached by public transport. Placements in other main cities in Mexican are available upon special request.The company itself defines your working hours during the internship. Usually, the internships in Mexico are full-time positions. The decision, whether to pay a remuneration or not, is up to the respective company. Please remember that internships in Mexico are usually unpaid work experiences. Due to economic and social reasons locally, it is often not possible to pay a salary to interns. However, some companies reward outstanding performances with non-monetary benefits, such as food vouchers, transportation expenses or excursions.
You decide how long you want to do your internship in Mexico according to your personal time schedule. In doing so, please keep in mind that we ask for a minimum stay of 6 weeks and, we strongly recommend taking part in our Spanish course in Mexico. This is to assure you have enough time to become familiar with the language and to adjust to your intern position and daily tasks.
Keep in mind we do not work with lists of possible internship positions or standard programs. Rather more our internships in Mexico are tailor-made to your needs and preferences. You tell us the work field you are looking to intern in, the duration and important criterions that should be fulfilled and our job is it to arrange the internship accordingly.
Accommodation
During your internship in Mexico we accommodate you in a single room at local host families or an apartment that is shared with other students or young professionals. Home stays give you the unique opportunity to immerse yourself even more into the Mexican culture and language. Living in a shared apartment will be certainly a lot of fun and you will get in contact with both young Mexican people and flat mates from all over the world. Neither housing options includes meals. Even though Mexico City is a metropolis, we always try to make sure that the accommodation is close to your internship company or that it can be reached easily by public transportation.Requirements

Age: 18+ years.
Vaccination: Not required. Please consult us and your doctor for specific recommendations.
Insurance: Full travel and medical insurance is required. You can purchase a full coverage, no deductible health and travel insurance at a special rate for our participants by contacting your South America Inside representative.
Visa: Tourist visa valid for 90 days. For further information regarding visa requirements please contact us and the corresponding embassy or consulate in your home country.

Application
Applying for an internship in Mexico is quite easy. Please follow these 3 basic steps.1. Please download and complete the application form.

3. Please pay the registration fee of US$ 75.
If you don’t mind adding a recent photo of you to your resume, please fell free to do so. Photos are used widely in resumes in Mexico and will help the company to get to know you beforehand. Please always specify your needs and expectations. The more information you give us, the easier it is for us to organize an internship in Mexico that meets your ideas.
Take into account that we will need about 4 to 8 weeks to place you in a company. Generally, we recommend applying with at least 2 months prior to your travel plans.

Mexico City, the country’s capital, totals upwards of 20 million people, which makes it the third largest urban agglomeration in the world.
Mexico is situated on the southern part of the North American Continental Plate thus geographically belonging to the North American Continent. Historically and culturally however, Mexico proclaims Latin American pride and nationality. Mexico borders the United States, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and southern neighbors of Guatemala and Belize. Mexico is one of the 18 mega diverse countries of the world with over 200,000 different species. Mexico is considered to be the second most active country in conserving their ecosystems, with approximately 2,500 species protected by Mexican legislation. Further, Mexicans are lively people who greatly prioritize family and religious values. The numerous big cities of Mexico, though modern in style, still entail many indigenous features of Mexican society. Even today, there are large Mayan communities that hold true to their native traditions. Mexico's tourism industry is also booming with world-breaking records of tourists each year! Maybe the most famous place on the Pacific coast is Acapulco, where inhabitants are regular risk takers by jumping from incredible heights into the bay below. The Caribbean coast, the Yucatán peninsula, city of Cancún and numerous beaches are widely known amongst tourists. Additionally, the Mexican volcanic belt contains both active and dormant volcanoes, reaching heights of almost 19,680 feet. The beaches of Playa del Carmen are recognized as some of the most beautiful coastal areas in the world! While enjoying the amazing beaches and sun in Playa del Carmen, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. Playa del Carmen offers excellent restaurants, shopping and amazing nightlife! It is very common to encounter famous faces as well as unique characters enjoying the entertaining city life and beach flair. Additionally, water sports, cultural and historical sightseeing, and tax-free shopping are all highly recommended activities to fill your vacation days in Playa del Carmen. When is best to visit Mexico? Year round! Nearly every month holds some public holiday with general weather conditions of warm and dry. Although, small variations of weather exist in the months of May through September with particularly humid conditions and frequent rain showers. Further, November to February entail cold spells, especially in northern Mexico. Mexico has an incredible amount of attractions to offer to anyone who ventures over its borders. Beautiful beaches, ancient ruins, mountains, volcanoes, deserts, cacti and much more await you! Of course, get your appetite ready for taste tantalizing tacos, enchiladas, tortillas and a huge variety of different sauces ranging from very mild to smoking hot!
