. Companies that offer internships in Argentina are all different kind of firms, enterprises, institutions and organizations. Mostly, we cooperate with local companies, but we also place our participants in branch offices or subsidiaries of international firms.

Our internship positions are provided in Argentinean main cities, among them is Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Mendoza and Mar del Plata.

Please keep in mind that internships in

Argentina

are unpaid work experience opportunities. Due to economic and social reasons, it is often not possible to pay a salary to interns. However, some companies reward outstanding performance with non-monetary benefits, such as food vouchers, transportation expenses, excursions, etc.

It is completely up to you how long you do your internship in Argentina. You set the internship period according to your time schedule and availability. Please consider the minimum stay of 6 weeks. This is to assure you have enough time to become familiar with the host country and people, and to adjust to the language requirements as well as your intern position and daily tasks.

We do not work with lists of possible internship positions or standard programs. Rather more our internships in Argentina are tailor-made to your needs and preferences. You tell us the work field you are looking to intern in, the duration and important criterions that should be fulfilled. And our job is it to arrange the internship accordingly.

Accommodation

During your internship in Argentina we accommodate you with local host families or you will house in shared apartments. It’s up to you to choose between them. Both housing options do not include meals. We carefully select the accommodations and make sure that they are located in nice and safe neighborhoods with good infrastructure and public means of transport. Normally, you can also find supermarkets, shops, restaurants, discotheques, cyber cafés and fitness centers close-by.

Requirements

Language: At least medium Spanish skills.
Skills: Depending on internship position
Age: 18+ years.
Vaccination: Not specified. Please ask for medical advice in your home country and check general entry regulation.
Insurance: Full travel & medical insurance for Argentina.
Visa: Usually, tourist visa is fine for up to a 3 months stay. However, we recommend consulting the Argentinean Embassy of your home country.

The registration fee is a one-time fee due at sending your application.
The program fee is related to the organization of an internship placement. It is a one-time fee due when booking the program.
The accommodation takes place in single rooms at host families or shared apartments (self-catering).

If you don't mind adding a recent photo of you to your resume, please fell free to do so. Photos are used widely in resumes in Argentina and will help the company to get to know you beforehand. Please always specify your needs and expectations. The more information you give us, the easier it is for us to organize an internship in Argentina that meets your ideas.

Take into account that we will need about 4 to 8 weeks to place you in a company. Generally, we recommend applying with at least 2 months prior to your travel plans.

You are encouraged to combine the volunteer projects with a language course to get prepared to language requirements.

Country Information Argentina

Argentina, the second largest country in South America and eighth largest in the world has much to offer the passerby and long-term tourist alike. Argentina’s continental area extends west along the Andes mountain range, east along the Atlantic Ocean and neighbors the countries of Paraguay and Bolivia to the North, Brazil and Uruguay to the Northeast and Chile to the West. The total Argentinean coast is about 2,400 miles long from north to south and 870 miles from east to west. The country is home to over 40 million people, with the capital of Buenos Aires and greater surrounding district entailing 13 million inhabitants. These numbers enlist Buenos Aires as one of the largest cities in the world.

One can find a huge variety of climates and landscapes from the north sub-tropical regions to the south sub-polar conditions. Further, the Andes Mountains stoically border two climatic regions of humid Argentina and aired Chile. Argentina offers such diverse landscapes at such an immense size, that any South American tourist could find happy haven in its territory. From the infamous Patagonia region, northern highlands, rainforests complete with the Iguazu Waterfalls, there are limitless adventures to explore!

In addition to landscape and weather variety, Argentina is also a country full of abundant natural resources, diversified agricultural sector and laden with cultural hot spots. The most well known hot spot is Buenos Aires located in the mid-eastern part of Argentina. Moreover, the country has a rich history of excellent literature, film production, famous theaters and musical fame (¡especially in rock and tango!).

For those cultural, site-seeing, city buffs, we highly recommended the Argentinean spring (September-November) and fall (March-May). The summer months (December- February) hold hot and humid weather good for lazy days by pool or temperate sleeping nights in the mountains. Attention back-country adventurers, summer is surely the best time to discover a mild and accessible Patagonia. Finally, for the skiers, snow begins to fill back into the mountains and resorts open again around mid-June to October.
