Peru has 28 million inhabitants, one third of them
live in the capital Lima. Like Bolivia and Guatemala, Peru is a country
where the majority of the population is indigenous. About 40 % of the
Peruvians are descendents of the indigenous Quechua tribe while 5 % belong
to the Aymara.
The Peruvians in general are rather reserved and timid, but once you break the ice you will discover that they are very warm and friendly people.
