Learning Spanish in Lima!
|
Located on the country’s central Pacific coast, the Peruvian capital
has approximately 8,5 million inhabitants. Today
it is still known as Ciudad de los Reyes (the City of the Kings)
which was its official name in 1535 when the city
was founded. Since Lima is the financial center of
the country, almost all of the country’s
economic and financial activities take place in the
modern and sophisticated capital.
When coming to Lima you will be absolutely amazed by the wide range of opportunities on offer: endless historical monuments and museums, numerous restaurants with typical Peruvian food such as Ceviche and a range of bars and clubs where you can enjoy Lima’s great nightlife.
The Museo de la Nación, one of South America’s largest museums, is also definitely worth a visit. There you will be able to discover and explore the city’s past and present and even take a look at how people imagine it will be like in the future. As the capital of Peru, Lima has the most vivid nightlife to offer. Whether you are a fan of jazz, rock, Latin pop or Caribbean rhythms, you will find the right place to dance and have fun all night long in Lima!
Lima’s coastline offers keen surfers the opportunity to catch some Pacific waves while the beaches are a fantastic place to relax if you are feeling less energetic.
