1. What are the current visa regulations for Paraguay?
Citizens of most European countries do not need a visa to visit Paraguay for up to 90 days as a tourist. Citizens of the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand do need to apply for a visa before entering Paraguay.

2. How long does my passport have to be valid when entering Paraguay?
When entering Paraguay your passport needs to be valid for at least six more months.

3. Which currency is used in Paraguay? What is the current exchange rate?
The official currency of Paraguay is the Guaraní (PYG), but the US-Dollar is also widely accepted. The Guaraní banknotes come in denominations of 1.000, 5.000, 10.000, 20.000, 50.000 and 100.000 Guaraníes. There are coins of 1, 5, 10, 50, 100 and 500 Guaraníes.

In Paraguay you can exchange money in all exchange offices. In the bigger cities US-Dollars as well as Euros are exchanged, however, it is recommended to bring US-Dollars. You can withdraw money from any ATM using your bank or credit card. Credit cards are widely accepted throughout the whole country.
