Located in the middle of the country, the Chilean capital, Santiago de Chile, is one of the most developed and safest cities in Latin America. This is reflected in its modern buildings, clean and fast subway, and many green areas. Visitors will also find huge shopping malls, unbelievable architecture, and outstanding infrastructure. Santiago is the country’s economic and political center, and is the biggest city in Chile, with almost 7 million inhabitants. Santiago has top rated hotels, exquisite restaurants, fancy clubs, discos, museums, many universities, theaters, and a whole lot more.

The Museo de Bellas Artes, with its exhibitions of international artists, La Moneda, the presidential palace, and Plaza de Armas, the main square in downtown Santiago, are definitely worth a visit. We also recommend taking the funicular railway up to Cerro San Cristobal, the hill in the heart of Santiago where you can enjoy an amazing view of the entire city and the beautiful Andes Mountains. These majestic mountains give Santiago some of the most spectacular views of any city in the world.

In Santiago, you can do more than just admire the Andes Mountains. They offer plenty of activities within easy reach of the urban sprawl, including trekking, climbing, horseback riding, skiing, kayaking, rafting, glaciers, waterfalls, and hot springs. If you are lucky, you might even see a condor, which is Chile’s national bird and the biggest bird in the world. Only a little more than an hour away are the shores of the Pacific Coast. This is the perfect spot for travelers that wish to combine city life with the relaxation of the beach.

The Spanish school in Santiago de Chile is located in the neighborhood of Providencia, which is the most popular area for foreigners in Santiago. It is the ideal location for Spanish immersion, and is within close proximity to many restaurants, bars, cafes, attractive parks, museums, cinemas, and shops. Providencia is an upper-middle class neighborhood and is safe at all hours. The school is a large, comfortable, colonial-style building with spacious rooms. There are 12 classrooms available, all of which have a total capacity of about 70 students.

Students have access to several common areas to enjoy breaks together. Furthermore, the school provides free Internet access to students in a special computer room and via WIFI. The school is centrally located and is only a few steps away from the subway station. It is also close to the bus lines. The popular Bellavista district is also only a few minutes’ walk away.

The school was founded over 30 years ago and is one of the oldest and most successful schools in Chile.

As the Spanish language has become more and more important over the years, the Spanish institute in Santiago offers special programs which promote speaking, as well as listening comprehension. All teachers have a university degree and a lot of experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Classes focus on three different topics: studying new grammar and deepening the application of the newly aquired grammar with different exercises, as well as conversation training.

The friendly and motivated teachers, who are, of course, all native speakers, will teach you Spanish in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Group Course:
If you like to get to know other international students and study Spanish together with them, then the group course will be the best fit for you. The class has a maximum of 9 students (on average 6 students) to ensure personalized instruction and a convenient study environment. The standard group course consists of 20 classes per week.

Intensive Course:
The intensive course is the combination of the group course, in addition to 10 private lessons per week. This assures you more personalized attention and allows you to improve your Spanish skills quick and easy. The Spanish lessons in the group are held in the morning while the private Spanish lessons take part in the afternoon.

Private Course:
Some students, however, want 100% individualized attention from a Spanish teacher. Classes are tailored to your specific needs and they are an excellent idea for professionals who seek a specific vocabulary. The private course consists of 10 hours per week. Upon request, the private course is also available with 20 Spanish lessons per week.
