Cusco is also known as “the city of miracles” or historic
capital of the Inca empire. Due to its natural attractions, it is the
most visited city of Peru. Cusco is located in the southeast of the Peruvian
Andean mountain range and counts approximately 1,2 million inhabitants.
The famous archaeological site Machu Picchu (“Old Mountain”),
which was once inhabited by the Incas, is one of the new Seven Wonders
of the World and just one in many treasures of the surroundings of Cusco.
The Sacred Valley of Urubamba, a mysterious valley where you can find ancient Inca ruins as well, represents some of the most charming country
sides of Peru and should definitely be part of your visit.
Amazing traditions like celebrating the most important
festival of the year, the Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun), which is still celebrated in the month of June, is a very important event for all Peruvians
to remember the Incan culture and tradition. You can enjoy this festival
with colorful and traditional music and dances.

SPANISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL
As the language school is located in the city center,
you will have the chance to experience a lot of touristy sights. The center
is full of different typical churches and museums with different temporary
or permanent exhibitions as well as a lot of colonial houses and buildings.
With long-lasting teaching experience and an efficient study program,
the Spanish language will be taught with accurately chosen audiovisual
material to improve the current Spanish skills of the students and to
learn more about the Peruvian culture. Teamwork on the one hand and individual projects on the other hand are highly emphasized during the classes and
lead to remarkable improvements of the language skills and underline the

SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSES
At the language school in Cusco you will have the
choice between group and individual courses. Both
course types are offered in four different levels.
To evaluate your current Spanish skills, you will
take a little placement test on your first school day. If you want to
meet other students from all over the world and share your individual
experiences, then the group classes will be the perfect fit for you. If
you prefer to study on your own covering specific topics of your interest,
then you will definitely enjoy the individual classes. Both course types
consist of 20 classes (each of 50 minutes) per week. All courses start
on Monday.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES
Learning the Spanish language is one first step to
get to know the Peruvian culture and way of life.
Apart from the regular classes, the language school
also offers a wide range of different cultural activities.
Learn how to prepare a typical Peruvian dish like Ceviche
during our cookery course. Feel the Latin American rhythm while enjoying
the dance classes! Have fun and improve your Spanish skills at movie nights! Or just come together with other students to chat and talk about the Peruvian society and culture!
Furthermore, the language school cooperates with local travel agencies and is pleased to help you in organizing trips during your free time. Famous destinations are of course the historical miracle Machu Picchu or the well-known Inca trail.

ACCOMMODATION
During your language course in Cusco we want you
to be involved with the local culture as much as
possible. So, what could be better than being a temporary member of a
typical Peruvian family? The carefully selected host families live all
very close to the language school, not more than 25 minutes walking distance.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served by the family and are included
in the price. If you have any special preferences, such as vegetarian
food, there will be absolutely no problem to make special arrangements
for you. Just inform us on time.

OTHER SERVICES
The language school is equipped with computers and
free Internet connection, which you can make use of during the breaks
or after classes.
Upon your arrival at the airport in Cusco you will
be picked up by a member of the language school and will be taken directly
to your host family. Please inform us in advance about your flight information
(arrival date, arrival time, flight number) to assure you a punctual pick-up.
There is no extra cost for the airport pick-up.
